How much bac water for 10 mg epithalon?

One to 3 mL all work for a 10 mg vial, and the amount you pick only changes how big each draw is.

A Black woman in her early fifties with short silver-streaked curls and a lavender linen shirt sets a thumb-sized vial on the door shelf of a bright refrigerator beside a small sealed bottle of water

Why the amount of water is flexible

The water doesn't change how much epithalon is in the vial, only how spread out it is. Ten milligrams in 1 mL is a concentrated mix with small draws, and the same 10 milligrams in 3 mL is a more dilute mix with big draws. Our epithalon dosage page lists 1, 2 and 3 mL for this reason, and none of them is the single correct one.

What matters is that you know which one you used, because every number you draw afterward depends on it. Write the water amount and the date on the vial the day you mix it, so the units and the 28-day clock are both written down where you'll see them.

What each amount does to your draw

Water Strength 5 mg dose 10 mg dose
1 mL 10 mg per mL 50 units 100 units
2 mL 5 mg per mL 100 units 200 units, over one syringe
3 mL 3.3 mg per mL 150 units, over one syringe 300 units, over one syringe

Units are for a U-100 syringe, where 100 units is 1 mL. The 5 mg and 10 mg doses are the two ends of the range on the dosage page, 5 to 10 mg once a day, which comes from peptide education pages and vendor sites. No dose-finding study sets it.

Picking an amount

If you're taking 10 mg a day from a 10 mg vial, 1 mL of water keeps the whole dose to one syringe. At 5 mg a day, 1 mL gives a 50-unit draw and 2 mL gives a 100-unit draw, and both fit one syringe, so 1 mL only becomes the deciding factor at 10 mg a day. The dosage page notes that more water makes each draw bigger and easier to read, so the choice comes down to a small draw you can fit in one syringe or a larger draw that's simpler to measure.

Once the water goes in, the 28-day clock starts. A 10 mg vial runs out in one or two days at the chart amounts, so the clock rarely matters for this vial size. It matters more for a half-used vial left over at the end of a course.

The total units for each water amount are in how many units are in a 10 mg epithalon vial. For any other vial, use the reconstitution calculator, and see the epithalon page for background and live prices.

It's sold for research, and the big human trials haven't been run yet. You knew that, it's why you're reading this and not the label.

Questions people ask

What is bac water?

Bac water is short for bacteriostatic water, which is sterile water with a preservative. The preservative is what lets you draw from the same vial more than once.

How much bac water for a 20 mg vial of epithalon?

The same 1, 2 or 3 mL work. With 2 mL, a 20 mg vial is 10 mg per mL, so a 5 mg dose is 50 units and a 10 mg dose is 100 units on a U-100 syringe.

How much bac water for a 5 mg vial of epithalon?

Units are milliliters of water times 100, so 1 mL gives 100 units for a 5 mg dose from a 5 mg vial, which is the whole vial, and 2 mL gives 200 units. Our dosage page covers 10 mg and 20 mg vials only, and this is arithmetic rather than a table from that page.

Does more water make epithalon weaker?

The milligrams in the vial stay the same, so each milliliter holds less. You draw more liquid to get the same dose, which is why 2 mL means 100 units for 5 mg instead of 50.

How long does a mixed epithalon vial last?

A mixed vial goes on a 28-day clock in the fridge from the day the water goes in. At 5 to 10 mg a day, a 10 mg vial is used up in one or two days, well inside that window.
