Dihexa is a synthetic angiotensin IV derivative sold as a nootropic on the research market. The two papers that established how it was supposed to work were retracted in April 2025 for falsified or fabricated data, and the market has largely carried on as though nothing happened.

A nonapeptide isolated in 1977 and named for the sleep stage it was expected to induce. The controlled human work that followed did not find that effect, and the name has outlived the finding.
