Which Peptide to Try First When You're Tired All the Time

Four compounds come up constantly when women talk about peptides for energy. They're not interchangeable, and the one worth trying first depends on what your tiredness actually feels like.

It's eleven at night and you're four threads deep into a forum where somebody swears an NAD+ drip gave her her twenties back. You've had the bloodwork. You've been told it's normal. You've been told it's your age. And you're still hitting three in the afternoon like a wall.

There are four compounds that come up over and over in that search, and the internet treats them as a single category called "energy," which is why people buy three at once and learn nothing. They're not interchangeable. Here's who each one suits.

First, what kind of tired is it?

This is the question that decides where to start, and nobody asks it, because "energy" gets used as if it were one thing. Most women describe one of three:

  • Wired but exhausted. You're tired all day and then weirdly awake at eleven, and your sleep is broken in the second half of the night. That's usually a sleep and hormones problem wearing an energy costume, and none of the four below is the first place to look.

SS-31 is the one researchers took furthest. It's been through a proper trial in people with a genetic condition whose main symptom is exactly this kind of exhaustion, which is more than any other compound here can say.

Worth knowing before you read a sales page: that trial missed what it set out to prove. There were hints that certain people responded, and those hints are being chased, but nobody has shown it clearly yet. That's not a reason to write it off. It is a reason to be suspicious of anyone selling it as settled.

If your tiredness travels with weight and blood sugar, MOTS-c

MOTS-c sits closer to metabolism than to energy as you'd experience it. People who do well with it tend to be the ones whose tiredness comes packaged with creeping weight and a body that handles carbohydrate differently than it used to.

It's also the newest of the four in humans, and the first proper human study didn't enrol women like you. Interesting, early, and honestly still a bet.

Nobody has run the study that would settle this. There's no trial showing any of these four fixes ordinary midlife tiredness in a woman who's otherwise well, and anyone implying otherwise is selling. What exists is mechanism, animal work, and trials in people with specific diseases. Some women find something here and some find nothing, and you'll be finding out for yourself, which is worth going in knowing.

Buying it without getting fleeced

Two things protect you here. Compare on price per milligram rather than the number on the vial, because vial sizes vary wildly and the bigger one is often cheaper once you do the division.
